Astrology will always reflect the physics and metaphysics of its time.
I am an Australian citizen living in the US since 2002 when I married my wife, Misti, and joined her here.  I have three sons; two adult sons live in South Australia and I am “at home” dad to my youngest son, Jack.

I was raised, number 8 of nine children, in an agnostic household where my family gave a nod to religion but didn’t practice it much, until my father got bitten by the Born Again bug when I was in my early teens. Eventually, I too devoted myself to the Christian religion from the age of 15 through to the age of about 25. During that time I devoted myself to seminary training and studied the Bible thoroughly, eventually reading it many times through. I was eventually disillusioned, not so much with the god of the christians, but with the religion that was built around his worship. When it became obvious that I disagreed with some of the fundamental tenets of christian doctrine, it was time to leave.  I needed to find out for myself how other folk managed to find enlightenment without the constructs of religion at all.

I turned my attention to earning a living and raising my first two children. All the while I was taking note of what it is that makes people tick. Of particular interest to me was where, in the ordinary lives of ordinary people, the spark of enlightenment is kindled.

In my spare time I studied visual art and spent considerable time involved in community groups. I became an unofficial counselor to many people from all walks of life, several of whom were, themselves, counselors.

By the time I reached 37 years of age, I had amassed considerable anecdotal information, but was without a system with which to describe it. I began to reach back to the roots of my education, to mathematics, physics, geometry, astronomy, theology, and art, looking for a thread to tie it all together with what I had learned of the human condition.

Enter Astrology.

I discovered that my brother, Carl, had been studying  astrology for 25 years. At that time, I was living in Adelaide, South Australia. Carl lived 3,000 kilometers away on the Gold Coast, in Queensland. I picked up the phone and asked Carl how to erect a chart, and the basic nuts and bolts of how astrology works.

He gave me a thumbnail sketch of how astrology works, and left me largely to my own devices. It only took a moment to realize that I had found a language with which to describe my observations of the human condition. As I erected chart after chart, it quickly became obvious that the language of Astrology was the language of the human condition, and moreover, that the horoscope is a most accurate tool for such analysis.

Armed with a great deal of inspiration and not much more, I put together a synthesis based on the information Carl had given me, and some excellent material by Robert Hand.

Once I had a fair grasp of how astrology works, Carl described his harmonic approach to me, and then the real work began. We spent many hours on the phone and the internet for many months putting together a mathematically consistent astrology system. We eventually put together a complete method based on Carl’s research and my observations. This method came to be known as Axial Harmonic Resonance.

Feeling thoroughly full of myself, I took this method to a world-wide Astrology forum on the Internet and began debating its merit (and lack of merit) with astrologers of every ilk imaginable.

Over time, I came to understand that the astrology I had learned, and in part devised, is part of a genre known broadly as Psychological Astrology. My use of harmonics to determine orb modifies that description to Modern Mathematical Astrology. To me, astrology is a study in Human Potential, but I came to realize that this is one of many streams of thought in the greater study of Astrology

My brand of astrology is a useful tool for people who are looking to improve their lives, to find a language with which to describe their various strengths and maladies, and more importantly, to find some workable solutions to on-going problems that they find themselves repeating over and again. I am one of those people.

Making a difference in the lives of individuals is the thing that matters most to me.

So, that’s me and this is my Astrology.

Below is my horoscope in equal houses for those who are interested. Just below that is the same horoscope in equal MC houses, because I don’t believe the picture is complete without both.

Take Care
